Susan Zucker, PhD, has directed educational programs for fifteen years. Her areas of expertise include curriculum design and delivery, faculty and staff development in legal/medical/forensic/education environments, web course development and online applications. She teaches web-based distance delivery graduate courses for the University of South Florida’s (USF) College of Education where she holds a courtesy faculty appointment.
Previously, she held a courtesy faculty appointment in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at USF’s College of Medicine. She has held the positions of Director of Instructional Services at USF, Assistant Professor in Medical Education at USF’s College of Medicine, and Assistant Director of the Holland & Knight Education Institute of Holland & Knight LLP.
She consults in educational environments; publishes articles on forensics, best practices in teaching medicine and law in refereed journals; has been an invited and featured speaker, and makes presentations to different audiences nationally and internationally. She has been awarded and managed grants funded by the National Institute of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance, Pew Charitable Trusts and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundations. In 2014, she was an invited speaker at a regional ENT Conference held at Harvard Medical School affiliate Massachusettes General Hospital in Boston, MA in 2014.
Dr. Zucker holds a doctorate in Instructional Technology with a cognate in Medical Informatics from USF. Her masters is in Curriculum and Instruction also from USF. Her bachelor of arts degree with a concentration in Environmental Science was awarded by Sarah Lawrence College.
