Lots of new information has been added to the NCSTL website and some changes have been made during the first quarter of 2007. Information on the homepage was changed and also reordered to improve navigation and to lend greater understanding about

A large number of bibliographic and presentation files were uploaded to the Education and Training section of Readers can now access web-based presentations by: Drs. Michael Baden and Peter Dean, Dr. James Young, and Dr. Maria Corazon DeUngria and Christopher Asplen.

The Cold Case Toolkit was developed by NCSTL’s Research Department and was uploaded to the Education and Training section along with Hot Topics Bibliographies and materials from the National Conferences of 2005 and 2006. These materials include conference agendas, handouts, and many PowerPoint presentations of many speakers. Also being developed is video footage of the two conferences.

The web-based guest presentation made by Dr. Kathy Reichs, producer of the hit TV series Bones and award winning novelist of nine books in the Temperance Brennan series, and Dr. Robert Dorion at Stetson University College of Law on February 5, will be uploaded soon. Development of Law 101: Legal Guide for the Forensic Expert is progressing. Law 101 is NCSTL’s first instructional module and it will be web-based.
