- Director of Technology and Distance Education, Susan Zucker, was invited to become a member of Edvantia’s (educational firm) National Faculty in April, 2007.
- Research Attorney, Jeff Chesen, presented on a CSI Effect panel at the NIJ Court Technology Technical Working Group meeting in Garden Grove, CA on April 4, 2007.
- Director presented on a CSI Effect panel at the Louisiana Judges Conference, in Lafayette, LA on April 20, 2007.
- Director presented at the National Academy of Sciences Forensic Commission Meeting, Washington, D.C. on April 23-24, 2007.
- Research Attorney, Marian Daggett, presented and Director and Director of Outreach, Anjali Swienton, attended the NIJ Community Acceptance Panel regarding riot control agents as a Less Lethal Technology in Washington, D.C. NCSTL was responsible for organizing and convening this panel on April 30, 2007.
- Director participated in a web conference in conjunction with Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government’s ASH Institute for Democratic Governance and Innovation. The program, “Fingerprint Analysis: The Role of Research in fortifying the Forensic Sciences” was held on May 10, 2007 and had 173 attendees.
- Director of Research, Diana Botluk, attended Cold Case Training, Clearwater, FL on June 19 and 20, 2007.
- Director participated in an NIJ Focus Group on Forensic Science Education for Judges in Washington, DC on June 25, 2007.
- Research Attorney, Catherine Guthrie presented to a Forensic Entomology class, Entomology and Nematology Department, and Law Librarians at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL on April 16, 2007.
- Director of Research presented to the Northeast Regional Advisory Council of NCLECTC in St. Pete Beach, FL on May 15, 2007.
- Director of Technology & Distance Education wrote a proposal to present, "Podcasting Friend or Foe", at E-Learn Conference in October, 2007 and it was accepted.
- Director presented "New Developments in Courtroom Testimony, Ethics and Expert Witness Malpractice: Challenges for the 21st Century Expert Witness" at the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts Keynote Presentation on June 8, 2007 in Washington, DC ( more than 700 in attendance).
- Director of Technology and Distance Education, Susan Zucker, wrote an article, “Using Computer Technology to Solve cold Cases” which was published in the IACP database in April, 2007.
